People tend to ask questions like this and throw in “average” etc.. when they want somebody to tell them to go get a mac.  Alas, I can see no good reason to do so.  Though Mac’s are for average simple users.  They are also a lot more expensive, and don’t have nearly as many apps for them.  Hell, just because you can use a torrent on one, doesn’t mean that there will be much software to download for mac’s using them.

Apple makes the best mp3 players around, appletv is nifty, and a well they make a damn cool cell phone that I plan to buy.  However for a computer, you are always going to be coming in second.

Here are some reasons you would want to get a mac:
1) You don’t like choices (like multiple mouse buttons and software options)
2) You want to be trendy.
3) You want to be different.
4) You have already used a PC and can’t figure it out….
5) You have money to burn and you already own a pc, but want a shiny macbook.

Otherwise your best option will be to stick with a PC.  I mean seriously, if you can figure out bittorrent then a PC’s for you.
