If you have to ask….

Download them… If you mean the DivX ones when they have fully buffered the video you can right click and choose save as and they will get written to wherever on your hard drive (though if you choose to save them as a .avi be sure to type blah.avi or else they won’t have file extensions).

The non-divx ones are a tad bit tougher, but I am not trying real hard to secure my code so I will tell you how to hack it.

View the page source of ripofftheater.php and you will see a bunch of < option > things. Inside them they have a bunch of crap like ?channel=http://bob.com/ That’s the part you want. To save space in my code (and also do a 302 redirect making it nearly untraceable where the video is being loaded from) It will typically be a tinyurl address. Well take from there up till the next & symbol and just copy and paste that into your browser. It will then popup asking you to Open or Save As and then you can just save the flv file to your hard drive.

I found a way to prevent people from doing this, but I decided that there was no reason not to just let people do whatever the fuck they want, maybe they will learn something by reading my sexy code.

Like every good pioneer I take somebody elses idea and I improve upon it. Here’s the skinny: I won’t upload a © movie. Why? Because I don’t feel like having a roommate named Bubba, as I had enough trouble having a roommate who didn’t go to jail for having sex with a farm yard animal (FYI: Live alone, do whatever the fuck you want… If you can afford this it’s the way to go). Since I don’t upload the movies it is quasi-ok for me to link to movies that other people uploaded since it’s the place that allowed the upload’s fault and they are the ones who have to do something about it. So eventually they will discover the nefarious content and remove it from their site.

Places where people upload a LOT of good content:
stage6.divx.com – This is where 99.93 % of all the DivX movies are hosted, they are quick to remove most of them but it looks SO good and streams so fast for big ass movies
veoh.com – Ok, so I hate veoh because most of the time you only get a 5 min preview and then you have to download the entire movie to watch it, and you need to watch it in their player. If you can get over that there are a ZILLION illegal movies on that site just waiting for people to watch them.
Megavideo.com – This ones new but I have seen a lot of good quality videos on here

Here’s the thing. There are countless sites where there are forums or something where people can list movies that they have found, and I was using them for awhile to find the new movies. I have found that most of those sites just link to whatever Joox.net is linking to. Joox is where people can just type a movie and it will add it to the site even without being verified, so I will look there to see if there is anything interesting that i haven’t found myself.

In a pinch if somebody makes a request I will go to tvlinks.co.uk. When you get there you will be overwhelmed by the apparent number of videos and full length tv series they have. However when you decide to grab a TV Series you get a little disappointed that only half of the series works. They have a broken link reporter and countless people who report things broken, yet they still don’t seem to clear off dead links but if you want something specific I would check there.

Everything else that show up in my flash player I grab from youtube. Why? Because I can get rid of their player with ease and they have EVERYTHING that’s under 10 mins. They also have anime that has been cut into 2 or 3 parts if you ever need something specific. That site is too big for them to police so if they delete the video you are linking to all you need to do is search the site again and you will find 5 more copies.

In a pinch and want something specific? Just google it. Type “Watch TypeMovieOrTVSeriesOrAnimeOrWhateverHere Online” and you will be amazed what you find. I am fairly confident that there is no anime or tv series that you can’t either watch online or download with a torrent on isohunt.com.
