"In May the stop-and-start hospital sitcom “Scrubs” had what sure looked like its final episode: parade of past characters, teary walk-off, blooper reel, production shots of the lead actors doing their “series wraps.”

A few weeks later the show got a last-minute reprieve: it was renewed for a ninth season, which begins Tuesday night on ABC with two new episodes. It’s still called “Scrubs” despite the protests of its creator, Bill Lawrence, who wanted a new title to indicate how drastically he was changing the show. As “House” has done over the last season and a half, “Scrubs” is significantly remaking its cast, though on a much tighter schedule: scene to scene, you can watch the new show emerging from the old.

Sacred Heart Hospital has been torn down and rebuilt on a university campus, and the returning characters J. D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison) and Cox (John C. McGinley) are on the medical school faculty. Mr. Lawrence puts his own words in the mouth of J. D., arriving for his first day of classes: “Part of me hates how familiar this seems. I hope I can find a way to make this all feel new.”"

"Disney pulls out some familiar faces to make the experience as warm as possible: Disney himself appears in various footage; Angela Lansbury narrates the documentary and provides a ""tour"" of the disks; Michael Eisner shows up; and Barbra Streisand sings a specially recorded version of ""Some Day My Prince Will Come"".

SNOW WHITE, the movie, looks gorgeous and, although old fashioned, is quite wonderful. SNOW WHITE, the double-disk, is a lot of information to wade through. I am amazed at the amount of behind-the-scenes film that exists! Disney must have suspected that he was creating a classic - he filmed every aspect of it! I especially enjoy the HALL OF ART section. There are 3 halls of various story art (i.e. ""The cottage""; ""The castle""; ""the Forest""; etc.) Although initially I found it hard to move from hall to hall, I eventually figured it out. The animated HALLS are extraordinary and the art that ""hangs"" there is incredible -- various renderings and attempts at bringing the story and locales of SNOW WHITE alive. It's even more incredible that Disney Co. held on to these papers for all these years."

"This week, two more episodes aired, and it looks like that’s going to be the trend, as the schedule calls for two episodes a week over the next two weeks as well. ABC is being awesome to us Scrubs fans. I’m not sure what the final count of episodes is going to be for this season, but I hope that the ratings are great enough that the series is picked up for a ninth season. We should know by May.
This weeks episodes continued the storyline featuring Courteney Cox as the Chief of Medicine at Sacred Heart Hospital.
“My Saving Grace” — Desperate times call for desperate measures when lifelong adversaries Drs. Kelso and Cox ally to oust Dr. Maddox (guest starring Courteney Cox) from Sacred Heart, while Carla makes it her mission to take a self-centered, incompetent intern down a notch., on “Scrubs,” TUESDAY, JANUARY 13 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
This episode focused on Carla’s conversation with an intern who is entirely too into herself, and after a few months had not really made any friends at the hospital. She didn’t know why, and thought it was because of the “competitive” nature of the hospital, when it was really her own attitude.
The episode moves forward at a pretty steady pace, and though it isn’t an instant classic, it does feature a change in the relationship between longtime rivals. It’s slight, but a great scene that moved the characters forward and you could see a change."

"This film, by itself, is very well-written and acted, with excellent production values for the fact that it is a direct-to-video sequel. It has really no flaws of its own, just one obvious inconsistency between it and the first film: Scar's 'ex-mate' Zira (and, by extension, Kovu) simply did not exist in the original THE LION KING! She was obviously made up just to have a sequel. However, this is the only major thing to overlook, and if you can forgive this movie for it, then you should be able to easily enjoy yourself. As I said, this is a good animated movie, and I recommend it for any fan of the original. This sequel isn't quite as dark; however, I still would not recommend showing it to very young kids. Suzanne Pleshette does a surprisingly good job as the evil, scheming, vengeful Zira (basically a female versdion of old Scar himself). Neve Campbell does a solid job as the voice of the adult Kiara, and Jason Marsden does excellently as the conflicted Kovu, who wants to do good, but...he made a promise to his mother...didn't he?!

Listen, THE LION KING II: SIMBA'S PRIDE is not the masterpiece that THE LION KING is...however, it is much better than it perhaps should be. Fans of the original should definitely own it."

The season starts off in the first episode with Dr. House still without a team and trying to diagnose a patient on his own, while Drs. Cuddy and Wilson (House's boss and good friend, respectively) try to persuade him to put together a new team by hiring some new doctors. The humor in episode one is still very much intact, especially in the scene where House tries to get ideas from the hospital janitor ("You were bouncing ideas off a janitor", Wilson tells him hilariously). When House finally decides to give in, there are 40 candidates vying for 3 positions on House's staff. And that's where the real fun of season four begins. The next several episodes turn into a "Survivor" type game where House eliminates the candidates one-by-one until he finally makes his final decision in the ninth episode. These episodes worked very well and it was a lot of fun to watch House play off these potential candidates. In the middle of all this, House's three former team members (Drs. Foreman, Cameron, and Chase) all return to Princeton-Plainsboro, but now working in new positions. The latter episodes deal with the three new doctors trying to deal with House as well as the patients they're diagnosing. And in an interesting subplot, Dr. Wilson finds a new love interest who just happens to be one of the same doctors who was trying to get onto House's staff and lost out. The final episode ends with a heartbreaker as House and company try to save the life of a person who was the victim of a bus crash, and House's inability to find out what really happened since he was also a victim of that same bus crash and has come down with temporary amnesia which makes the other doctors' jobs a whole lot harder.

There are a host of deaths in Lost series!

"Season Five began with the survivors of Oceanic 815 and their various allies split into two groups. The Oceanic Six are back in the real world, but Jack and Ben are determined to lead them all back to the island. The rest back on the island - at least those that are still alive, most having died - have, like Billy Pilgrim in Kurt Vonnegut's SLAUGHTERHOUSE-FIVE, become unstuck in time. They find themselves moving from one year or decade - heck, from one century - to another. And when the Oceanic Six return, they find themselves stranded in a different time themselves, back in the seventies with the Dharma Initiative and the Others. Most poignantly, Sun has found out that Jin is till alive, but they are stuck thirty years apart.

But this wouldn't be LOST without a host of twists and turns. We are barraged (in a good way) with a never-ending string of shocks and surprises. Things constantly turn out not to be what we expect. That is especially true of John Locke, but true of just about everyone else as well. The amount of detail is almost overwhelming, though in a good way. It keeps the show fascinating and ever fresh. And of course, this being LOST, there are a host of deaths. The only series with a larger body count is BSG.

The best thing about Season Five of LOST is that it continues the excellent pacing that was established after the Season Three hiatus. I'm sure everyone will recall that fans were outraged and disappointed after the first six episodes of Season Three, which were broadcast a few months before the show resumed in the winter. Fans felt that the show was dragging, as if they were trying to stretch the series out an extra season or two instead of getting on with the story. When the show resumed, the producers responded to the fans' complaints and significantly stepped up the pace of the storytelling. By the end of that season it felt like a new and completely refreshed show. And Seasons Four and Five have maintained that pace. One thing that definitely helped them maintain the pace was the announcement at the end of Season three that the show would end after Season Six."

As you know, all season are good season for you to start you golf games. You may take out your golf equipment and use them.
The most important thing of golf is that how you hold your golf clubs. When you are trying out different hand positions, you should hold a golf club the proper way,or you will be discomfort, maybe you will miss you shot because of your wrong way of holding your golf clubs. You should start your game by holding the golf club face open to the ball.
If you are a righty, put your left hand on the club first and grip it with a moderate grip. Make sure that there is enough room at the top of the club so that you can put your right hand on it.
Once you have the club with your left hand, place your right hand on the club and make sure that your pinky, middle, and ring fingers cover the thumb of your left hand. If you are a lefty, simply switch hands.
Make sure that when you swing the golf club you have minimal movement in your wrists. If you find there are something wrong with you clubs, you’d bette change one, there are many golf clubs for sale any where. To prevent any unwanted wrist movement, point your left thumb down the shaft of the golf club. Try swinging a couple of times to make sure that your wrists are locked.
Many people play with a golf glove for the mere fact that it will give you a bit of an edge; not to mention it prevents your hands from getting sore and ripped up. A golf glove will help to increase your grip and let you figure out the most comfortable position to hold the club.
No matter what golf clubs you use, TaylorMade R9 Fairway Wood or callaway x-22 irons, make sure that you are holding the club properly and your game will improve dramatically.
I want to give you another tip, make sure that the clubs you play with are the right size for you.If you donot have a right size clubs, you can change one, you also can buy some discount golf clubs, they are also very good.Stand the club straight up and down; it should come up to your waist. Remember keep your head down when you are swinging the ball, it is good for your shot.

When I first started playing golf, I was all about power. As I got a little older, I realized that golf was not all about power. In fact, uncontrolled power is a disadvantage.

Eventually, I realized that it was better to hit a seven iron ten feet away from the hole than a nine iron to thirty feet.

Then a while later, I realized the importance of the 100 yard marker. I found that by laying up to 100 yards left me with a lot of shots that were very similar.

In time, my wedge play from 100 yards got to be pretty good. It still is. Well, the benefit of hitting as many shots as possible from a specific distance is that you are hitting the same shot a lot. What if you are 110 yards out?

You know exactly what it takes to hit the first hundred, so you have a known reference. That being your 100 yard swing. It makes the adjustment to hit it 110 yards a lot easier.

But how does that apply to putting?

If you spend some of your practice time mastering one distance, say 15 feet, it makes adjusting for different length putts a whole lot easier.

Instead of trying to figure out how hard to hit the ball to make it go 20 feet, you will know you have to hit it slightly harder than the 15 foot stroke you have mastered.

If you can roll the ball a specific distance every time, you will need to make smaller adjustments than the guy who has to start every putt from scratch.

It is best to keep golf simple, and one way to do that is to learn specific shots that give you a reference point for playing all the rest.

When it comes to putters, there is no shortage for designs. If you can imagine a design in your mind, somebody has probably made something pretty close to it. There is a perfect looking putter head for everybody.

But most golfers stop at that. They buy these off the rack putters with expensive names on them. They have a choice of one length and one grip.

I know from personal experience that a simple change in the shaft length can make all the difference in the world. So next time you want to get a new putter, just shorten one of your old ones by cutting a couple of inches off the shaft and putting a new grip on it.

If you think about it, a new putter only works because it feels different from the one you have lost confidence in. Technology has done wonders for distance, but when you get close to the hole its a different game, literally.

When you are having trouble putting and have lost confidence, it seems as if you will never make another putt. Any change you make is like a first step towards restoring confidence.

If it happens to you, don't limit yourself to getting a new putter. You should try different shaft lengths as well. It is a lot easier to cut two inches off an already installed shaft than it is to add the two inches.

A new putter grip cost about $4. Add a little masking tape you probably already have along with any solvent and you have totally changed the characteristics of your old putter without changing the visual appeal that lead you to buy it in the first place.

If you don't like what you have, you can always go out a buy that new putter. Just remember, it is still you doing the putting.

How to Find the Right Putting Grip Pressure for You

Just how important is grip pressure when putting?

Look for a moment at the fact there are so many different kinds of grips used by the PGA Tour pros. It makes it quite obvious that the position of the hands on the club while you are putting is irrelevant.

There are also many different styles of putters out there. Long ones that go all the way up to the golfers chin to those that insert right into the golfers belly button! Then you have many types of heads on those of more standard length, all combining to prove that the putter is also irrelevant.

With putting, it all comes down to comfort and confidence. If you are comfortable, you will feel more confident. If you are confident you will feel more comfortable.

What does all of that have to do with putting grip pressure?

Comfort begins with how tightly you hold the club. But at the same time, it is as individual a thing as the grip or the putter itself.

You hear people all the time trying to explain how tightly, or softly, to grip the putter. The fact is, its totally up to you. It is highly individual. What works best for me would probably just leave you confused.

So now you know why I started out the way I did. The best grip pressure for you is the one that allows you to be the most comfortable and confident in your stroke. If you are looking for someone else to tell you how tightly to hold the putter, you will never be comfortable with what you end up with.

Anyone who claims to have the answer is simply trying to tell you what makes them the most comfortable and confident. To find your proper putting grip pressure, do what makes you comfortable at every part of the stroke, without strain or changing the pressure from address.

The first equipment that must be included in a potential golf set for you is the taylormade golf clubs. These clubs are most often used by players it has a lower loft compared to the other equipments that is why it is not usually used from the fairway.
And compared to the other clubs available from your golf bag, the taylormade r7 irons have the capability to make your ball reach the farthest distance. Another component that should be included in the golf iron set that you want to buy is the woods.
These woods are the longest clubs that must be inside your golf bag that is why they are most of the time used for shots that have a longer range.
If you still do not know it yet, taylormade r9 driver are the most versatile clubs in the set because it really allows players to create different types of shots while using just a single iron club.
Adding to the racial dynamic is that the main Na'vi characters are played by dvd collections actors of color, led by a Dominican, Zoe Saldana, as the princess. The film also is an obvious metaphor for how European settlers in America wiped out the Indians.
Annalee Newitz, editor-in-chief of the sci-fi Web site io9.com, likened disney dvd collection "Avatar" to the recent film "District 9," in which a white man accidentally becomes an alien and then helps save them, and 1984's "Dune," in which a star trek next generation dvd white man becomes an alien Messiah(ishiner).
(then) go beyond assimilation and become leaders of the people they once oppressed," she wrote.

"When will whites stop making these movies and start thinking about race in a new way?" wrote Newitz, who is white.

Black film professor and author Donald Bogle said he can understand why people would be troubled by "Avatar," although he praised it as a "stunning" work.
"A segment of the audience is carrying in the back of its csi miami dvd head some sense of movie history," said Bogle, author of "Toms, Coons, Mulattoes, Mammies & Bucks: An Interpretive History of Blacks in American Films."
