Heavy on my mind…

So I get a call from Covance, asking me to come do the study for them that last time I was an alternate for… It would of been perfect timing, except the outpatient visit. I would have to go back on May 5th at 8am. That is kind of a problem since I am supposed to be in a wedding in Texas on that day. So I told Covance I could not do it.
However I got to thinking about it and called them back later to say that I probably could. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my friends and really was planning to go to their wedding, however 1) it’s a long damn way to travel just for a wedding 2) If I go I loose over $2000 between loss of study and travel expenses. 3) There had been a couple people that were considering going with me, and neither one could do it, so I would of been driving alone…. Yes I do that a lot, but it is a pain in the ass since I do not stop to stay in hotels. Just hours and hours of driving.
I haven’t decided 100% for sure yet, but I am 90% sure that I will not go. Honestly they should of had this wedding in Wisconsin, or else just got married at the Court House. See their wedding is in Texas, they have 10 people coming… and none of them (i think) are from Texas, so they are actually going to hold their reception for it a couple weeks later…. In Wisconsin!!!!!!! I’m sorry but this is kind of a bastardly thing to do when their guests are coming from Wisconsin. If they were going to have the reception here, then they should either be married at a quickie court house type thing and come here, or get married here.
