So I was fixing all of the music videos that were on the site. In the process I looked for a few new song. Things I hadn’t seem music videos for but figured I might as well find music videos instead of mp3’s for the site.
Well YouTube did this slick thing with their API that allows me to use my own player with their videos so long as I display their logo in the corner. Now yes, I have a way to bypass this logo which I have been doing for a long time. However my links break all the time, and it’s a bit shady since they don’t want people direct linking to the flv’s. Well using the new method I can add music videos and not worry about them dying pretty much at all. So that’s what I am going 2 do. One less thing to maintain for broken links right.
Ok, the point I was very inefficiently getting at is that I searched for Gerald McMann - Cry Little Sister to see if a video existed. It found me some clipped together Lost Boys footage which then showed me a remix of People are Strange in related links. I like that song so I opened that video. It was an Anime Music Video, which was cool because if I liked it there weren’t that many of those on my site so I could always use more.
Well this was the best remix of ANY SONG I have EVER heard. It had such a beautiful and haunting sound that I had to find more stuff by them and have since downloaded their entire discography and unreleased songs.
Anyways you really need to experience this to believe me. Go to thesmartass.info/theater and in the top left menu choose Anime Music Videos and listen to the Cowboy Bebop music video. Then when you are done listen to the Paprika music video that is further down the list (another one of their songs). If you are still hooked like I was switch to the normal music videos and watch their Becoming Insane video (only actual music video they have as far as I can tell).
