Save The Internet

Friday, June 9th, 2006 | Helpful

So, I am not political. Quite frankely I tend to figure “it will all work out”. However right now there is a bill going through Congress that would change Net Neutrality and basically take away the internet’s 1st ammendment rights and allow your internet providor to police what you see, as well as prioritize your traffic.

Which for a site like mine could mean disaster. I mean my site would still be here, but perhaps your internet providor would take offense to me calling them a bunch of cock gobblers and they would ban my site so that nobody else would be offended by that.

Well that is BS, and I should know.

So. Go to www.savetheinternet.com and join the petition, or call 202-224-3121, and oh so politely tell them to shove their bill up their ass.

It might be helpful to have your links open in a new window so people don’t have to leave your blog to visit them.

i thought about that in advance and decided most people prefer to hit the back button… but your opinion is noted and if other people think the same i will do that in the future, but remember internet explorer doesn’t have tabs yet so all those people get new windows every time some jack ass makes thinks open without closing the page.

actually, I could tell you that all you need to do is hold [ctrl] key when you click on links and it will open in a new tab (or window for ie).
