FYI: OiNK Is Gone

Short version of the long story (just google it), OiNK is no more and unlike all the other sued sites (demonoid | isohunt | torrentspy | piratebay) it appears that it will stay that way.

I thought it should be mentioned since it was one of the greatest sites ever to exist. Yes, something will take it’s place as is the way of the world, but until then we will remember it as the greatest music download site to ever exist.

Was OiNK even grander than Napster? In either case, I’ve missed the bus for both of those Internet phenomenons. I suppose I still could help with the legal fees the creator is going to need when the poop hits the fan for him. Or not. Will probably buy a comic book or something.

I wonder what the big deal is with involving Interpol or FBI. They are fighting and criminalizing people over sounds. I would expect sounds are free, seeing as anyone with enough practice can imitate a sound.

OiNK was WAY bigger than napster in the fact that it didn’t have news time because smart people used it. a couple million members 300,000 active ones and all of them were “invited” because you can’t sign up there without an invite from somebody else.

then torrents take a little education and oink took even more or else you would get there and get banned right away.
