Moving to AZ
Tuesday, April 18th, 2006 | Helpful, Stolen | 3 Comments
By making this post, I am making it official. At the end of the month I am moving to Arizona.
I have weighed my options here, and there. Here I can’t get a good computer job, and I don’t want to work for another cell phone carrier. I could just work harder at my computer company and go out business to business selling websites, but quite honestly I am getting sick of making them for other people and would rather just work on own and fix their computers.
I could stay in Wisconsin and work my own company fine doing just repair if I stuck a couple phone book ad’s out, and I could do really well if I just walked into Cingular and got a job AND put out the phone book ad’s, but I need a change.
I have been living at the same place for too long and life has grown stagnant. I will try to go around and see everybody when I get a chance before I leave, but I have lots to do before then. If anybody is interested in any of my stuff that I did not put on my for sale list like my bed, they are for sale as well.
My bed, old clothes, some of my coats, the blue chair (that I cut a hole in the fabric to insert a mousepad into), etc… They are all free to whoever wants them.
It’s been real, it’s been great… but it hasn’t been real great. ; )
A Week of New Art

Ok, so blogger picked a bad time to be down. When their site was down I tried emailing in my post, but it bounced back. So now since I figure it is important to tell everybody that you need to clear your site cookies, I have manually added this to my xml feed… But that caused problems too. So now I had to wait until blogger came back up. Sorry, that’s how it goes…
Anywho, I was going to add like 50 new artworks to the site the same way I always do… Add them, don’t say anything, don’t even add thumbnails to customize gallery etc… But I decided since I have SO MANY artworks now, that I should be generous to the people who visit this website a lot and make it so that you can ONLY see the new artwork for a few days.
By next weekend I will have them mixed together, but for now, enjoy the new stuff. In the same vein, I decided to also shoot up some new backgrounds. I only kept the fire one, and ditched the rest.

Making Use of Time

So, I have not had my own computer since Tuesday morning. It’s amazing all the little things that I have come to use it for that I did not even realize. One of the biggest seems to be just to avoid Paul. I mean he hasn’t even been THAT much of an ass this week either, but if he is here, the big-ass TV is his, and so is the laptop.
Now, I am not exactly loaded for money as of late, so there is not too much I can do outside of home. So I have started reading again. So I know, I can hear the sinkers from you now…. “well, he should be without his computer more often…”. Well that’s BS. I should not be without a computer again for a long time.
Well in my quest for something to do, low ‘n’ behold it warmed up! So the other day I started running again. Well that’s not true… I mean I intended to run, but it was more like me sauntering vaguely downward. Nevermore, it gets better with time.
So instead of another attempt at running today I figured it was Devil’s Lake day. So I pawned some goods so that I would have enough money for gas and a state park pass for another year, and I left. Of course nobody was there to sell the pass today so I didn’t have to pay anyways, but no matter….
Being that this was my first climb of the year, it seemed kind of like my first run of the year…. So I kicked it into gear to huff it up the mountain. Of course I can’t make take an easy path. NOOOOOOOO WAY…. So instead once I got to the cliffs, I found the most difficult path that I had never done and I went up that way. The way I choose didn’t have almost any footholds on the left side and it was a ways up. Taking the difficult paths is way more fun though because you can feel the near-death experience coursing through every vein in your body.
After I made it up that cliff I kind of back tracked a bit so that I could do another cliff. This one also seemed to have lots of wasps hovering around it. So that helped to pump even more adrenaline in me and I made it up that one quick.
Upon getting to the top, and being completely ass out of breath, I actually felt good having done it. I mean I knew that if a group of friends had gone with me, none of them would of attempted to go up the cliffs that I did and that made me proud. Of course by this time I had all sorts of muscle spasms in every place in my body that didn’t feel like jello. Which made the walk down really tough. Of course it didn’t help that I was wearing shoes that though good for climbing, are terrible for descending, since I kept sliding forward on all the smooth rocks.
After I got home the neighbor’s were out so I took my chair (and a 6 pack of Yokel… a beer that I should spite because it replaced my favorite beer Native, but since it tastes pretty good I am letting it slide for now…), and hung out with them for most of the night.
All in all, I have been ways to use my time. Fortunately for me I sent my computer parts back to newegg in a hurry and the important package has already arrived, AND has already been reshipped to me using the upgraded fedex shipping that I convinced the lady in the newegg call center to give me for being such a good customer…. So I will have a working computer again soon (of course the weekend will muck that up a bit as well).
I suppose I could kill off some more time by finding somebody to spend Easter with, but I don’t know if I will yet. I figure perhaps Paul will have something to do for it and there4 I will have the house to myself… Well only time will tell..

GASKLJSLKDJGSALDGJASDLGKJsd. That’s how I feel right now, because I just wrote a damn page worth for this post, only to have my computer crash and turn itself off!!! I mean this computer crashing crap has got to go.
I have no specific factor to declare as what is causing it, but I THINK it’s the multiple monitors. So HOPEFULLY ATI will release some new drivers soon and they will fix my problem. However it could be my soundcard as well since I always have audio on… The frequent crashes have wrecked havoc on my Terabyte and have just been an all out nuisance to things like my writing motivation.
See now you get an abridged version of what there was before. Perhaps that is best as last time there was 2 paragraphs describing an almost naked, fat, gay dude who was jiggling his boobs. So now all I will tell you is that he was the lead singer of a band at a music festival that my sister went to see. My sister described him as a trainwreck. Where you don’t want to look, but can’t seem to look away.
After his band which consisted of creepy him, a guy in long underwear that had written on it “I Love Martin” and a girl with pink hair that just wishes she had boobs as big as the gay dude, there was some other crappy band. They were stoned and depressing and couldn’t sing in key, and I was really doubting this music festival.
We went out to get something to drink and I (who had tried to sleep earlier in the day from exhaustion due to lack of sleep previous night and a long car ride back from Eau Claire) sat down and just crashed.
I mean the only thing keeping me awake was people watching and a crappy painting with a naked chick with puffy nipples. Until the next band came on. This one got me up and back into the stage area to listen, because well… They were REALLY DAMN GOOD.
It had 2 singers in it. The main singer is a girl who’s voice sounds like Dolores O’Riordan (from the Cranberries), who was also playing a synthesizer. There was also a guy who sang and played guitar, another one was this one dude who was playing (I shit you not) an accordion and sometimes a bass, and some guy who was really good on the drums.
The band was named Headlights. They were so good that I went and bought all their cd’s after the show. My sister wanted me to convince her to give me the cd’s for free, but I wouldn’t even consider trying that with a small little band that’s not on the radio. I settled for offering them a website. To which they do have one, and though it’s not great. It’s not bad either. If I pushed it hard enough I could probably get them to let me redesign it, but I don’t know what I would do to one up it.
At any rate this band did 8 songs I think. The first 4 they considered “in space” which we decided were Trip Hop, and the last few songs were “down to earth” Rock. I liked the spacey ones better but it was all pretty good. I will update this post with torrent links once I start seeding them on OiNK.
After that, I figured the bands that came after might actually be good, but I was so damn tired that we left before we could find out.
Hmm, seems OiNK really is king. Both of their EP’s are already uploaded. I could upload the live album, but the recording quality of the show was not that high.

90%

Ok, so if you couldn’t tell by the post title, I figure I am feeling about 90% better. I was going to not write anything at all except 90% and see how many people caught on, but I knew that was futile.
Then I thought: I should instead go to uglypeople.com and get a nasty picture and call it “before today” and then get a picture of Antonio Banderas and call it “after today”, knowing THEN you would understand the 90%… However I realized that neither my worst days nor my best days would I rate in either extreme…
Then I thought: “why the hell did so many people go to see The March of Penguins when the ONLY previews for it were of people saying how much they enjoyed it?”, but I quickly realized that thought doesn’t further this post at all!
Then I thought: perhaps all I need to do is say that I slept through an entire night and didn’t remember any crazy ass dreams and instinctively you would know that I was 90% better, but I pondered that only long enough to know that some people don’t read my posts in oldest-newest first order, and well others…. they are just lucky to be able to read, so getting them to try to make associations between connected ideas spanning multiple days…. that’s just wack.
Then I thought: I think too god damn much, it will probably be better just spell it out for them in the first paragraph so that I can save myself the effort of trying to come up with a way to trick them into understanding
Then I thought: I really don’t have anything interesting to write about tonight, so maybe I should really embed subliminal messages inside this post, knowing that if I mention them, even more people will look for them and then the messages will become even more clear and focused and will be so much more effective at teaching you all the things that I want you to learn. You will be so focused that you will read this post again, just to try to figure out what dark shit I am trying to embed into your brains. Yet all the while, you are only furthering my cause own while trying to discover it for yourself.
Then I thought: ………………………………. …………………………………. …………………………………… …………………………………………………. ……………………………… …………………………………………………. ……………………………………. .. ………………………………………………………………………….. ………………. ……………….. ……………….. ……………………………………………………………. …………………………………..
………………… .. ………………………………. ……………………………………………………………………………..
Then I thought:
…they probably won’t believe me that I stuck subliminal messages in here anyways, but that is just because they are incapable of discovering all 4 different types!!!!
Zombie Cover Up
Monday, March 20th, 2006 | Helpful, Stolen | No Comments
Ya know when you sleep like ass you remember your dreams right? Well, today I remember my dreams. Needless to say they are some fucked up shit.
For some reason I was at my old Elementary School, at least the outside of the building was an exact match for that, but the inside was totally different. People inside this building were being killed left and right and the only people who were able to freely roam the halls were the Doctors, and the Zombie looking dude’s.
Now most of my dream was trying to sneak around this building. I never once figured out what was going on, but I did manage to steal a doctor’s uniform and badge and escape.
However when I got outside, I decided I had to go back in and save some other people. The people in this dream very clearly had faces, which is extremely odd for dreams. One of the people I saved was named Mark. I used to hang out with Mark a long time ago, but rarely see now.
The other people though they had faces, I did not recognize them. But I saved 2 other people that seemed like they would be important.
Then I was going to get in my car to leave. However it seems I first tried to steal another person’s car before going to mine. The other person’s car I was able to start, but after seeing the entire first row of cars were able to be started I did not trust that car and I went out and found my own car.
I was worried that they had logged my license plate down and would be hunting for me so I disappeared. The news came on after I disappeared. I was not there to watch it since I had disappeared but there was no news of any sort of crisis going on. Seems the whole thing was covered up, and with me having disappeared their was nobody to stop them.
That’s where it ends. All in all the dream had a fairly straight forward flow to it. I mean other than the disappearing thing where me and the people I saved just stopped being in the dream, everything went in chronological order and seemed to make sense, although I don’t know why I was there and why they were killing so many people…
The zombie’s were not very scary. The doctors and the men in riot gear seemed to be the only ones I was avoiding, because they were the only ones killing people.

I discovered a new website today. It allows you to install updates for windows without going to the MS site. It uses an extension for firefox. Figured I would share: http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/
In somewhat related news the non-existent page has been updated.

So I went to Fort Atkinson today. I suppose that’s the natural thing to do when you wake up 7 minutes from there. First stop was my fathers. I knew he would be sleeping, so I called and woke him up. I mean after all it’s not everyday that I am in town right?
After waking him up I gave him a few extra minutes by checking an auto-glass place to see how much they would vampire my wallet to fix my windshield. As I expected they told me it would be over $300 bucks, as I would need an entirely new window.
Should of just had it fixed while I was in Louisiana where they have nearly as many auto-glass repair places as they do churches (due the stupid ignorance that causes them to not put mud flaps on cars).
I said no thanks, I will wait until I get a ticket or glass stuck in my forehead (which ever comes first). My dad was still in bed when I got there, but the door was open. I “fixed” his computer, by removing his Norton Anti-Virus program. Since if you didn’t know, that program causes far more problems than it fixes. I then to keep his paranoid little heart happy put a different virus program on (AVG Free).
To my unexpected delight he insisted on paying for my services for removing his anti-virus program. He was in a fairly pleasant mood so I didn’t argue too strongly against the idea.
I left there and went to have lunch with my friend Josh. I saw him once 6 weeks earlier, but that was the only time since 2005. So he gave me all sorts of creative Josh-like suggestions that would benefit my life. For example, he said I should become a monk. Then there was the conversation about how I should dedicate my life to loving sheep and plants instead. I’d say he has issues, but who doesn’t?
Next stop… Grandmothers. 1st one was not around, so I went to see the other one on my way back home. Glad to see me, I convinced her how well I am doing running my own company and how much happier I am. See if I didn’t convince her of this, she would of just sat around wasting the end of her life worrying that I am not doing well. To further cement this I convinced her to what a waste of time worrying about things is.
Left to head back to the Mad City. Stopped at the grocery store to get some of the world’s greatest ice cream (white chocolate raspberry truffle) and was going to head straight home to finish off a website I should of been finished with but was not…. When I decided to go to my sisters.
She had been upset earlier in the day to find that I was in Fort, since being in Fort prevented me from hanging out with her. As she put it she just wanted to take me out to Ginza and perhaps a movie. I did know there was ulterior motives behind that, but I decided the Ginza would be worth it.
So I stopped over there and helped her with a couple computer problems and tried to point her in the right direction on the website she is making. She decided to be a pain in my ass and not listen to me when I said start small and work your way up. She had an “END VISION” in mind of what she wanted, and was too impatient to stop and worry about what all she needed to learn to get there.
I don’t blame her for what she wants to do. Hell, I even think it will be effective once it’s done… Just annoying for now until it is.
Well, as expected we went to Ginza. I ordered a black belt from the bar (saki and kahlua) and they said they had a table for us. Now Ginza is a Hibachi Bar. If you have never been to one of those, you need to go sometime.
This time was a bit different than normal, since we were sat with an entire family. Yes, I have named them the Grady Bunch, I don’t actually know their last name but they seem to simulate being a gigantic-modern-brady-bunch-impersonators so they became the Grady’s.
It was made up of a man and a woman, each who had their own separate kids. There was only 1 girl in the whole lot of the kids, though it looked like there was 2 ; ). They were all sushi-a-holic’s and took pride in putting each other down.
Still despite all that, the food was fantastic and there was SO much.
At like 11 I rolled back home and made use of the lonely hottub once again ignored the website I needed to finish because now I was too tired to work.
Proof of Monkey
Wednesday, March 1st, 2006 | Life, Stolen | 4 Comments
So I have been searching the net now to find a longer definition of Monkey as it relates to the Chinese Zodiac. I found tons of short ones and those all described me to a T, so I wanted to find a very thorough one and see how accurate it was.

Metal Monkey
No task is too great for the clever Monkeys. They master most anything. They have extremely charming manners that draw others. Monkeys solve difficult problems with ease. They are quick-witted, innovative, and they have total and intense belief in themselves. No one delights in their own accomplishments like the Monkeys. Enjoying themselves immensely, they try anything at least once! Monkeys are intellectual and their memory is phenomenal. They recall the smallest details of everything they have seen, read, and heard. They must depend on that memory since they have an otherwise untidy mind. Monkeys are wizards with money. They are original, shrewd, and when they need to, they can fool anyone. There are a hundred and one fantastic schemes they want to try, and you can bet they make some of them work. Even when they take you in, it is hard to be angry with them, or begrudge them anything. They don’t care what opinions others have of them. They know they are lucky, and they also know they have the ability to change things when convenience calls. Monkeys are virtually unsinkable! When the odds are stacked against them, Monkeys know when to quit. Their timing is superb, and they will wait to try another time. If you try to trick Monkeys, they will probably catch you. They are great strategists. They can spot an opportunity in any form. They never miss a trick!
Monkeys are hard workers once they have a piece of the action. The bigger the piece, the better they do. Monkeys like to travel, and they want to do it first class. They need a certain amount of excitement in their lives.
Since Monkeys get what they want without too much trouble, they may not care about all their conquests. They lose interest quickly and must learn to finish what they start and take care of what they have. People always flock around Monkeys, but Monkeys don’t trust very much. They know a select group of friends that they choose carefully. Money is a must for Monkeys, and they usually have it, or will be in the process of getting it.They know nothing is permanent. They improve and try to do better, and often amaze even themselves. Monkeys like facts and they hate to waste time. Always remember, Monkeys don’t care if you approve of them or not, and if not careful, you will be eating right out of their hands! They are the ultimate diplomats and slip in and out of difficulties with ease.
Monkeys must be careful in romance, although clear-sighted, they are very critical and lose interest in anyone they can’t consider their peer. They are vain and egotistical, but even that is to their advantage.
Monkeys are always out in front!
Now…. Please note, I did not write that. But damn does it ever describe me well. I found a bunch of other ones as well and they all seemed like they were describing me.
I like the theory that this really is accurate. That would mean that nurture AND nature are BOTH bullshit. I mean how great would it be if our personalities were not based on horrible parenting and traumatic embarrassments, but rather just on the stars in the sky!
