Fixed a ton of IE7 Bullshit with DivX Player
Saturday, August 25th, 2007 | Site Updates | No Comments
Yesterday I thought I came up with a solution to shrink my url’s again. A nice short url that went directly to all DivX files. Well I didn’t think it would make any bloody difference which browser I was using since it’s just a url to a video file right? wrong. Seems IE is too stupid to play a a video file unless it has a specific extension of that video file, despite the player being made just to play a specific file. I was lucky to catch this problem because the Only reason I checked in IE was because all of a sudden it’s showing the “small player” on my site, which is annoying the piss out of me and I wanted to see if it was in both browsers. I even hardset the variable to make the player big but it stays small. lame, way to muck up your own player stage 6.
Also I had to fix a TON of flv links because Google changed the IP address of their cache server and I had been linking directly to the ip. well links all fixed and working as far as I know.

Every Single Episode of Bleach Online in Rip-Off Theater!
Friday, August 17th, 2007 | Site Updates | 2 Comments
Oh yes, that’s right. I spent a blood lot of time gathering all 136 episodes of bleach. All of them except 2 episodes are in amazing quality DivX format and full screen beautifully. I will NEED to make the broken link reporter now in case anything goes down because I CANNOT check all of those episodes to see if they still work.
Every week I watch a new episode of Bleach and Claymore so I figure I might as well just start watching it on my own site so that I can keep up with the new videos at the same time. Also if you haven’t watched Death Note, you should go and watch this ASAP as it’s AMAZING.
Oh, you will probably notice I restructured the menu’s a bit. Anime off to the left, and the trailers aren’t gone they are just moved into the Short Attention Span menu. I also replaced virtually all of the trailers with some 1080p HD DivX ones… yes, they look amazing and are still being updated.
Sigh… this site is difficult to maintain by myself, so if you know of some way I can clone myself please contact me with information.
Added a few full anime series to Rip-Off Theater! (AKA - Watch Death Note or Die!!!!!)
Saturday, August 11th, 2007 | Site Updates | No Comments
You asked for it, I delivered. You can now watch the full series of: Black Blood Brothers, Samurai Camploo and Death Note in addition to what I had already (Berserk, Elfen Lied and Claymore!!!~!! If you have never seen Death Note, you need to go right now and watch it. The series gets more mind boggling as it goes. Simply Brilliant.
In fact, I had to invent a new menu system just to add all the episodes of Death Note in high quality since I do see the divx format as being vastly superior to FLV’s and the anime there doesn’t seem to get deleted or at least not quickly, which is odd since full length movies only last there an extremely short period of time.
I will probably end up finding all the episodes of Claymore in DivX as well since it’s my “new series” I am watching every week now and want to have the best quality copies.
I didn’t get a change to create a “Broken Link Reporter” like I thought I would, nor have I gotten around to making my “holiday calendar” but I’ll do it eventually. Remember everybody: I run this site by myself and add these things as I get time, and though you may only see one new thing it may have 37 bloody episodes (like Death Note), or 140 like Bleach (no, I didn’t add that, talk about time consuming… )
Though you may not get as much content added to the site as some forum based video sites, you have to realize that I only pick quality content. I won’t show you a video that I haven’t either watched myself or want to watch. Same with my links, artwork, etc..
Check out Full Length Section on Rip-Off Theater ASAP

Got some special ones there, no telling how long they will last… a couple of the links will probably break before the end of the night….
Sexy Magical Changes
Saturday, July 28th, 2007 | Site Updates | No Comments
Look, If I wouldn’t have said they were Sexy/Magical Changes would you have read the post about a site update? A LOT of changes to Rip-Off Theater. I reorganized the way I was loading the flash. There are now more playlists. You will notice there is now a music video and an anime music videos playlist. I hold no concern for what is a new video and what is an old. Only what I like. So there is everything from the Gorillaz / Prozzak to Christina Aguilera and Billy Idol.
One other thing I am happy to have brought back is the audio feeds for my blogs. I will probably start to integrate the “podcast” into each of my posts. For now you can listen to them in the Streams & Feeds section of Rip-Off Theater. Currently it’s a woman speaking which is nice and all but it’s not quite as amusing as when I had Stephen Hawking reading my blog.
Another thing you will notice. I have cracked 2 solutions that have plagued me about my theater. How do I get google video’s secure FLV’s to show without their giant player (while still not incurring their wrath), and also how to make an XHTML compliant DivX web player.
For the DivX Web Player I searched a couple pages of results on Google and nobody had a solution. So I will write an article explaining it, since I came up with my own solution and I am sure somebody else wants it!
Hmm, still haven’t added the affiliate links to my Good Stuff page. I keep thinking of how I want to do it and then not liking the ways I would do it or wanting to make something elaborate to display.
If you didn’t notice I added a bunch of games to my other games section. Now there are more brain games like Mah Jongg. I would encourage you to try Qwerty Warriors as a way to improve your typing speed. I did it for a long time and my fingers were about ready to fall off when I finally lost. I am sure I was typing past 150 WPM by that time since you are simply typing short words to destroy your enemies…
Today? Not sure what I will do today. I thought I would create the Holiday Calendar but I don’t feel like filling up a database with 365 holidays today. I still plan to do it, I just don’t feel like it. I will probably keep adding stuff to the theater, since I already have an update post for it and won’t need to write another one ; )
New blog posts in all sections… WooHoo.
That’s it. Haven’t perfected cloning yet so I am still only one guy.
Saint Me Day
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007 | Helpful, Life, Site Updates | No Comments
What… You think I’m joking? You think I would just declare today a holiday to honor myself because I have a big ego? Hmm, good point… I might… Well damn it, I didn’t!
Today is Saint James Day.
A day to honor me. Yet where are the people honoring me? Do you realize that I had to go to work today?!?!? Granted I skipped the first 3 hours to honor myself, but I still had to go!
Look, I have figured out the problem. You are having a hard time remembering what days are important and what days aren’t. So I have decided to add another section to my ‘Random Thoughts’. This weekend I will make a daily holiday database. Not only will it help you to remember when to honor me, but it will also help you to have an excuse to celebrate.
Everyday there will be a new holiday all of them will be legit, unless I don’t like the legit holidays in which case I will invent a new holiday. A holiday that should have been invented already but hasn’t due to lack of creativity at the Hallmark Company.
Good Stuff - AKA My Store Launches
Friday, July 20th, 2007 | Helpful, Site Updates | 2 Comments
So today I spent a LONG time creating items for my new store. At the moment there is only the site merchandise. I will add the other cool items soon. I tried to make a couple different t-shirts, but at the moment since I have the “free store” I can only make one of each type of item.
One item of note. The Wall Clock. That took me FOREVER to make, all because I had an idea in my head of how to convert one of my Ask-a-Smartass questions into a clock. It turned out pretty well and I have priced it very low as well. If you figure I am only making like 10% on these things. I could jack it up more, but right now I’d rather just see how much demand there is and if there is more consider creating a real store.
I had tons of ideas for the mousepad, but again… I could only create one. I still several items I can create yet but I am going out to see my friends band.
Lemme know what you think of my first attempt to make site merchandise!
More Trailers on Rip-Off Theater Etc..
Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 | Site Updates | 1 Comment
I added a bunch of new trailers and fixed all the links to Full Length videos on Rip-Off Theater. I also added a really long Hyolee video to flash (she is SO sexy) and Claymore Episode 16 to anime section (are you watching this yet, you should be).
If there is anything anywhere else that is broken and not working please let me know. Not just on the theater but anywhere. If you try to load a game and it freezes or doesn’t play, Or there is some weird glitch… TELL ME…
Launching a “Store” this weekend. Might only be a couple items for a bit, but they will be REALLY good items : )
I will probably break site updates into it’s own blog this weekend… too many of them lately, mucking up my personal blog. So if you subscribe to this feed for updates you might want to look for the new one.
good times
New Artwork Week
Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 | Site Updates | No Comments
As I tend to do on occasion, there are 70 new artworks uploaded. So to help you to see them with the huge mess of artwork on the site I have set it to display just the new artwork for the next week before it mixes everything together again.
Hmm, it’s 4am and I need to get up and get ready for work in an hour and a half… bah.
Caught up on Ask-a-Smartass!
Saturday, July 14th, 2007 | Site Updates | No Comments
Ok so I was almost a couple weeks behind due to the new site being launched. So this morning I am feeling better so I answered all of the remaining questions! Now it should be much quicker to answer them within a day or two.
Off to get some lunch, but I am still working on adding even more stuff to the site. I am trying to add a nice looking weather gadget to the site, but I can’t seem to find a free IP to Zip Code database. I found IP2Location wants $500 just for their bloody database! See I don’t want you to have to enter a zip code but for you to just show up. Rather I just want the site to display weather from your local internet provider’s location. (unless you are using a proxy, but then who cares since you would know damn well that you are using a proxy). It’s totally feasible, though I haven’t really seen it done.
