New Artwork Week

As I tend to do on occasion, there are 70 new artworks uploaded. So to help you to see them with the huge mess of artwork on the site I have set it to display just the new artwork for the next week before it mixes everything together again.

Hmm, it’s 4am and I need to get up and get ready for work in an hour and a half… bah.

Ok so I was almost a couple weeks behind due to the new site being launched. So this morning I am feeling better so I answered all of the remaining questions! Now it should be much quicker to answer them within a day or two.

Off to get some lunch, but I am still working on adding even more stuff to the site. I am trying to add a nice looking weather gadget to the site, but I can’t seem to find a free IP to Zip Code database. I found IP2Location wants $500 just for their bloody database! See I don’t want you to have to enter a zip code but for you to just show up. Rather I just want the site to display weather from your local internet provider’s location. (unless you are using a proxy, but then who cares since you would know damn well that you are using a proxy). It’s totally feasible, though I haven’t really seen it done.

NEW NES Emulator, and other updates!

Hmm, I think I need to create a blog just for updates since I have been making so many lately…

• The other day I added some games to the Other Games page. Will add even more soon..
• Site now has 2 Nintendo Emulators.  The new one runs amazingly well, but doesn’t support all of the games that NESCafe does, and also cannot save, but I would still recommend using the new emulator (vNES) even without the extra features.
• Added Controls to the Menu’s on Sega and Nintendo Pages.
• I eliminated the small version of NESCafe and turned sound so it is off by default.  You can turn it on with S key.
• Discovered JoyToKey - You can now use your controllers with my JAVA Emulators!
• Working on adding an x86 emulator running DOS to site.  The plan is to get Duke3d running ; )
• Added 55 episodes of “Will it Blend?” to Rip-Off Theater
• Added 3 feeds for the Internet Archives Videos that will update themselves to Rip-Off Theater
• Added some more commercials to to Rip-Off Theater
• Wrote a couple blog posts.

Ok so today I went to Arby’s for lunch. Upon noticing that I was getting $12.99 change I asked my friend Justin for a penny so I could get $13.00 instead of $12.99. He handed me a penny and I handed it to cashier…

Ok, now all day I answer stupid people’s questions at work. So I know how stupid people can be, but even this blew my mind…. This kid could NOT figure out how to give me change with an extra penny.

I explained it: If you have 99c and I give you 1 cent then you have a dollar…. so just give me another dollar instead of the change! No… he still didn’t get it… he just stared all confused. 2 more employees including the manager came up behind him and having heard the situation they grabbed an extra dollar and handed it to me.

So THEN my friend Justin decided to take pity on the kid and call it bad training (yeah for what, life), and explained to the kid how to count change in his head instead of on a cash register. Not that he should have even needed that to figure out how to return $1 to me with 1 penny, but Justin gave this kid several example and then asked if he understood now…. He blankly looked and unconfident about his response replied “kind of”.

Yes folks… There are people to dumb to work in fast food. My faith in humanity has reached a -5 (that’s negative five for those of you who need me to spell it out).

I only tend to look at things with a noticeable amount of traffic only. So I missed these old forum links that mostly linked back to my Kari Byron pictures. Well since the first hotlinking asshole FINALLY took down his content that was pointed to my page I decided I needed to ruin more sites, so I went into the small fry archive. I mean it’s not as bad as trying to iframe my entire pages but how much effort does it take to upload 30k or less image?

This one is especially hilarious. The site is called “pure pwnage” which means the fact that i am pwning the shit out of them is hilarious! This isn’t one image he linked to, it was 5… which makes the torture REALLY funny

Don’t you hate it when your asshole is in agonizing pain, and you can’t focus on the tasks you need to do because all you can think about is how bad it hurts every time you move your ass? Then you think perhaps this was caused by the fact that you just dropped a load the size of Kansas, so you think, damn, I wish I could describe this agonizing pain caused by something resembling Kansas to somebody, but it’s about your asshole and you know better. So then you figure, damn, I should write a blog post about it because I could relate it back to what you’re doing since it might be funny to point out what a pain in the ass project you were working on, say perhaps search engine optimization on an AJAX based website, but then again you REALLY know better than to do such a thing because it’s just way to personal and nobody appreciates hearing that kind of thing anyways!

Disaronno Nights

Ah, another friday night. This being the first day of my weekend I can earnestly say that I blew it. I mean where does the time go? I didn’t answer anybody’s questions, i merely went about asking my own questions and of course as always not getting any answers.

When The Smartass asks questions, nobody answers because if I don’t know, who the fuck does? Today my question was on how to use .htaccess to force search engine referrals to reload the pages they are indexing by taking the page and putting it into an iframe…. Anybody? Anybody at all have an answer???? So far the 2 geekiest programing forums I could find have been unable to give me an answer no matter how much detail I provide. I say hey… I want an orphan page to put itself in an iframe if my website didn’t do it first… How tough is that? Bah… whatever.

Today I added 1 page to the WTF section, tomorrow I will add the library back to the wtf page… I also0 put on a site search, but to make it more effective I need to make a site map since apparently the search engines can’t understand my ajax links at all. I’d say fuck em, but they are my friends and who really wants to fuck their friends (unless they are hot females in which case we fucked up by making friends with them in the first place) . So before I submit myself to digg or any other place to try to promote my new found glory I figure I need to make at least one t-shirt or at least SOMETHING that will generate revenue.

Anywho, I think and act clearly at night after I have had a few drinks…. Not beer. Beer makes me sleepy… damn sleepy. Annoying but true. E&J and Disaronno make me happy, which is odd coming from a depressant but I will take what I can get. Absinthe makes me a visionary and gives me amazingly vivid dreams… however I ran out… I could steal my roommates but I charged him $100 for that bottle a long time ago and am not dicky enough to drink a bottle of alcohol that he paid that much for. What I need is to order some more.

Thanks to the people who visit my site who actually took the time to send me an email and tell me what you thought of the new design. Seems only visitors to my site that don’t personally know me are the only ones who feel the need to stroke my ego. Damn it people… I have an ego…. STROKE IT!!!!!

Ok, so I finally got it launched.  I restructured everything~!   The biggest change is Rip-Off Theater.  Please contact me and let me know what you think of it. 

Things that are missing:
-Need to put the controls back for the nes/sega…. I will probably get that up tomorrow…
-Missing the search forms…. I am working on a new solution for this, probably a few days
-The “meaning of liff” has lots of broken paragraphs… ugh, that will be annoying to fix all 600 database entries… don’t expect this one this week
-Rip-Off Theater is not yet syndicated or in database… it is planned, but it is enjoyable enough without so i will add more content before i bother syndicating it.
-Missing the store, yes i am going to sell t-shirts etc.. I was going to get at least one made tonight but the few hours i thought it would take me to finish turned into the entire night. 
-I know, I need to answer more Ask-a-Smartass Questions… Hell, I might outsource some of them ; )

Oh, haven’t tested it… I MIGHT have figured out how to enable saving on the sega genesis…

In other news the asshole who linked directly to my nintendo STILL has my nasty hotlinking page running on his server.  My guess is he doesn’t play the games and since you won’t notice until you open the pop-up page for the games, that he hasn’t noticed and nobody on his site feel like telling him… hahaha   good times….  

New Design WILL Launch By The End of the Day

Sadly I have to go to work.  Yes, I know it’s a holiday.  I figure I am about 2-3 hours away from launching site, but won’t be able to work on it again until later tonight.  When I launch it the old pages are going to go away because I have 3 old designs laying around my server wasting space so there may be a lot of broken links if you have bookmarked any of the old pages (except the blogs or the news feeds they are fine). 

I haven’t been answering Ask-a-Smartass questions so that I can get this new design out.  Of course the questions aren’t that great either, and as the site grows in popularity I will only answer interesting questions ; ) 

So check back with this site by the end of the day to see some fairly drastic new changes.
