Way to be a sucky day!
Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 | Uncategorized | No Comments
So last night I was up into the wee hours researching hardware / software hacks…. It sounds like a bunch of programming crap, but it’s not. I actually learned how to seriously improve the speed and performance of my internet connection, as well as fix firefox to work FAR quicker and no longer give me the connection problems with configs in the hidden about:config page.
Well that kept me up till 3:30 or so right, at about that time I said OH SHIT, I have to get up at 7 am to go to court today.
Now I am extremely good at talking my way out of traffic tickets, 9 times out of 10 I never get the ticket, but the 10th I can normally talk my way out of it or get it reduced by going to court.
See this ticket is bullshit, I was not pulled over because it was a ticket I got for passing a school bus that was being driven by an off duty cop. I have probably wrote this sad and angry story about how they went about figuring out that it was me on a previous post a month or so ago, so I will simply say that the stop sign did NOT come out until I was half way past the bus.
So even If I got the ticket in a stupid way I figured I could get it dropped or reduced. All morning I watched as the DA reduced everybody’s ticket before me. When I got up there I was very respectful though I read officer “wife beaters” 1 page report while the DA read it.
The officer blatantly lied in this report several times, especially when he said he put on his lights 100 feet prior to stop, and stuck out his sign 20 feet to stopping. Yes, this is a 30+ year asshole cop. So the DA decided to believe him, and said well if his stop sign was out that far before he stopped and you went around him you were obviously trying to violate the law and you could of killed a child!!!!!!
WHATACROCKOFSHIT! He didn’t listen to me at all and said he would not even reduce the ticket. He told me that I was welcome to go to a jury trial, to which I asked if I would be told the same thing, that I was a liar who recklessly attempted to put children’s lives at risk. He said “basically, yes”.
Wow, so I had to suck up a $305 fine for a violation I didn’t commit, and one that I would not have even been charged with if it were not for the police officer calling and harassing my father for information (see prior post somewhere).
There was really not anything special about the afternoon, so I will skip to the evening. Now my car has been leaking oil…. AGAIN… It’s always a different part that starts leaking, but this time it has actually been spraying, which is not cool, so I needed to buy a new oil pressure sensor. I had been told about a good deal at Farm/Fleet and stopped in and paid $13 to get that part as well as a gauge that tells my oil pressure.
Now I know people who have paid a couple hundred dollars for the oil pressure gauge, but as far as I can see it is a seriously generic part for every single car that uses it.
So I spent a long part of the day at my mechanic’s working on installing it, I had this guy Mike help me install it, the electronics of it should have been relatively simple and the part just screws in behind the engine so no big deal.
Until we turn on the car and the gauge does not work, so we screw with it, a lot and discover that if we mess with the part under the hood enough the oil pressure goes from 0 to like 180 and just bounces around…. Once or twice it stayed at the correct number around 25, but we could not get this crappy thing to stay there.
There were many attempts but it never panned out. Technically my spraying oil leak should be fixed, but I don’t want an inferior part that does not do what it is supposed to on my car, so tomorrow I have to remove it and return it… grr…
Heh, you should see the white pants I was wearing today. I definatly look like some up-town mechanic as I am going home with almost totally black pants.
I talked to my roommate tonight and apparently 2 of my wheels that I have been waiting on for a month have been powder coated. Why only 2? Well apparently since they “didn’t need to be sand blasted” when she painted them they didn’t turn out quite right. The points where the clear coating had worn thin look great and the rest is “textured”.
I am going to go look at the 2 painted wheels tomorrow morning to see how shitty they are, of course I wanted it to look like a million bucks, but I am so sick of waiting that If it looks good from a distance I might just go with em.
What a long fucking day! At least there is always the hottub to come home to!
Legal Threats & Strippers

So today I felt like crap, could have something to do with the fact that I have drank the last 3 nights in a row… Something I have almost never done.
I felt so lousy today that I decided not to go to a bbq that I was invited to. Now a normal bbq, no big deal, but this one I was invited to was mostly just a “Visions” employee cookout. So it would of been me, a couple guys and a ton of strippers!!!!!
So yes, now you know I am crazy and that perhaps there is no hope for me. Hopefully some cute girl will just decide to date me to save the rest of the world from having to deal with a hopeless case like me.
So now that you read what a chump I am I thought I would give you more entertaining reading. So here are new legal threats that we pent up as americans send out to other countries. I am glad not every country in this world is as anal as mine.

The wedding.(aka, excuse for long ass post)

In the morning I went over to Josh’s apartment. We were all supposed to meet and hang out before the wedding. Well everybody wanted to play this stupid Star Wars board game. Obviously I am not really into it, but I did not complain since it was Josh’s day.
Somewhere along the line Josh ordered pizza. He ordered the most expensive pizza that they make, but because of it only ordered 1 pizza. There were a bunch of guys over there, so that seemed kind of annoying, since me and the rest of the guys had agreed that despite Josh’s wishes to pay for it, that we would pay for it instead.
Since he forbid this I took a collection for it when he wasn’t paying attention, this one pizza cost $20 bucks, and all of us only got 1 ½ pieces, for which I was collecting $4 from everybody to pay for. Worse yet is two of the guys gave me the “I owe ya” for payment, so basically I paid $12 for 1½ slices of pizza. Mmm.
Ok stupid subject, moving on. We were supposed to be at the church at 2:30 for pictures, now mind you the wedding was not until 6:30. After we stood around doing nothing for over an hour we decided to all go to Frosty Freeze for some ice cream. We figured this would piss off the brides maids, but we got back and once again had to sit around for another hour.
Luck for everybody, I was one crafty mofo who decided to bring a deck of cards, and saved the day… YEAH… We finally get the pictures taken and then have to sit around again. I suppose it’s cool, since I don’t get many chances to wear a tuxedo.
So eventually the wedding actually happens. We had to stand still for a LONG time. I thought my feet were gonna get pissed off and walk off they hurt so bad. Not to mention all the songs they had somebody sing during the wedding. She sang some version of the lords prayer. Only I don’t remember there being 4 verses to that prayer….
Well it got done, Yeah, Yippie, Congratulations (and all that jazz). So we could finally go to the reception. Now it was all the way in Watertown. Which is already a long ways away. Well we were supposed to be following these people to there. However the lead car thought they were smart and decided to take a LONG detour.
Hey don’t get me wrong, I know all the back roads too, but there is a time and a place to use them. The detour was at least an additional 12 minutes to get there.
The reception was held at Elk’s Lodge. It’s a club kind of like Lyons etc.. We had the whole building, the reception was on the top. Now this bar has never heard of real beer. I could understand if just Josh choose to have miller and miller lite for free beer since he does not drink. However the bar did not have anything else on tap. It was very strange.
No matter, I am adaptable, so I drank the miller lite, and then I drank some more, then at some point I found it easier to just get pitchers. LoL. If you have been reading my blog at this point you would think I am an alcoholic. However this is not the case, in fact I really don’t drink that much, and I try to avoid going out to drink as much as often. But when In Rome….
I guess I was kind of flirty tonight. In fact I rather enjoy acting this way. It was a combination of alcohol and the confidence of wearing a tuxedo that I looked damn spiffy in. However I think I will try to act like that more often.
I even hung out with and danced with a girl that I really liked. I gave her a business card, but was to much of a chump to get her phone number. She said she would definatly contact me, but I could have just been percieving things to have gone well. Lets say I won’t hold my breath, but I will be happy if she does contact me.
All in all I had a really great time. So great that I decided I was not going to drive home again, and wasn’t even going to get my car from the church where it was parked. So it’s another night of crashing on the spare bed and not sleeping well.
When I got back to Nelson’s house I drank like 30 cups of water, not wanting to be hung over the next day.. Especially since I seriously did not eat anything since the afternoon ice cream. No, I did have one brownie or something off of the desert table at the reception, but that was it.
So yet another friend is now married, in this case Thank God. I mean seriously, this friend REALLY needed to get laid. Though I felt bad when he went to buy some condom’s. I mean I believe she is on the patch, and both being virgin’s. Well… 1, they probably won’t have that much fun, and 2 the condom won’t help that any. However they are so pent up that any sort of release ought to be good for them.
Off to see the wizard… err..

So I needed to go to Fort Atkinson today for Josh’s wedding rehersal. Picked up my tux and went to the church. Basically we just sat around for awhile and then the minister went through what we needed to do kind of half assed, but we were pretty good. After that we stood around for a long time doing nothing and then drove to Milton to all have dinner.
I don’t know if I could really say I liked the dinner at all. It was served in courses and none of the courses were really good, one of them which was Apparantly “rolled chicken breast” looked like it was Spam, dumped right out of a can.
There was one highlight to the dinner, they were serving wine the whole dinner. It was all white zimph, but it was tasting pretty good. Since I did not drive there I decided to drink more everytime it was offered. At one point one of the waiters just said “Do you want to finish off YOUR bottle?” I think I probably had a bottle + another ½.
What can I say…. Down the hatch! Good stuff.
Stayed over night at Nelsons so that I wouldn’t have to drive back to Fort again the next day. I went to bed about 1am, however I looked at a timer that was set for 5am, and freaked out because I thought it was so late. Heh, oh well, slept like crap anyways.
Actually worked on Smartass

See for me, I have tons of things I need to do on my websites, however normally I am not motivated to do any of them. However every now and then I start on something and end up working constantly until it is finished. Today was one of those days.
I didn’t change out of my pajamas until around 7pm. I spent the entire day working to get my cookie script to support multiple cookies, and make it so I can have the customize page back.
So screw all my bullshit, here’s the skinny on what was done today:
-Created new and improved Customize page.
-Fixed glitch that prevented some people from browsing to different TV channels.
-I THINK I fixed the problem where some people can not see the pull down game menu above the Nintendo, however since I have never had that problem I do not actually know if I truely did fix it.
-Added clear image options to customize page, and brought back the old smartass backgrounds. They will only look good if you set a clear image for the artwork in the foreground, and they will never show up on random.
-Switched out the Google Images search engine on main page for a weather lookup, you can still get to the other forms by clicking Nav: 1, but I think more people will use this than will use the image search.
-Also added some darker artwork as options for the customize page.
-Made the WTF page visable, it has actually been linked from the page for a couple months, but not many people knew it since you would of had to click blank space.
As always, Good Times
Hella-Big Rocks

So I decided today would be a good day to go to Devil’s Lake. I haven’t been there in awhile and I do actually have a state parks pass this year! I didn’t have anybody to go with, but I still enjoy going and free climbing the rocks.
Well apparantly I picked a super hard path today. I mean DAMN, normally it goes from large rocks, to small rocks, to cliffs, to trail. Well the path I choose went from Large rocks, to small rocks, to cliffs, to more large rocks, to more cliffs, to trail.
Wowza was I tired, I mean I haven’t exactly been excersizing much this year, but after this whatever I do will seem easy. I was really tired at the top so I just sat up enjoying the view across the water for awhile and then I started down the trail to go back to my car.
However for some reason I decided to go down the rocks instead of the trail since they were a more direct path back to my car. Figured down is easy, but when all of your muscles are to their limit it is pretty damn hard to go down the rocks, a couple times I slipped and lunged forward, lucky enough to have a big rock in front of me break my fall ; ) I finally get to the bottom and it’s just 2 more rocks and then trail right..
Well apparantly one of those 2 rocks had a big hole under it that was covered by a ton of leaves, it’s probably some animal’s house, after all I did see a big racoon earlier. Well my leg went down the hole to just past my knee, and was a big scraped up when I pulled it back out, but at least it was still attached to me when I pulled it back!
After that I needed to go to the gas station to get some liquid and then I went back via the ferry, it’s a bit longer not taking the interstate but there are lots of places to just fly over hills and around corners which is good for my low to the ground car.
Damn that was exausting, but at least I have a hottub to go home to!

So I went to go play poker with some people today. Now I have played online before but never a game with real people. So I figured it would be fun. I guess I got a little cocky when i was the chip leader and played a little bit to bold when I should of been figuring out what the other player had that made him so confident.
Lost 2600 in one hand, and then 2 hands later I went all in and lost by one card ;( I came in forth, but there is no money for fourth, was hoping to get at least third to get the money i invested in the game back, but I suppose it was fun.
After that we went trolling bars in Milton. For some reason my self confidence was really low tonight. First I was not willing to be wing man for one guy, and then we were at another bar and I was totally into the bar tender, pretty long curly red hair, good body, nice smile, no ring, no or at least little makeup…. I mean right up my alley, but I couldn’t come up with jack to say to her, and i had all the time in the world since everybody else except me was just playing stupid nickle machines (and badly I might add).
That kind of annoyed me so I decided to walk back to my car from the bar, and drove back to the Mad City to go to sleep.
However when I got home all the neighbors were out next door drinking and laughing around a fire. Hell, even Paul was over there and he never does anything, so I was not going to be the unsocial one.
Everybody there was pretty drunk, I’m pretty sure even the cop ;) That however kept the conversations interesting. Eventually there was rain and it was a good enough excuse to get everybody to break apart and go home.
All in all it was a good night. Still it would of been better if I would follow the great advice I heard once that says “don’t be afraid to loose what you don’t have”. Oh well.
Shit Happens
The Movie…

So my sister and I went to see Star Wars in the theater today. We were only 25 mins early and we got center / bar seats. The bar seats are the best, in any other seats I don’t have leg room, not to mention the fact that I like to have my feet up pretty much all the time.
Watching this I realize I don’t really remember Episode 2 very much, I will have to rewatch it. I was rather disappointed in the special effects. Normally Lucas won’t let anything except perfection fly, but there were many times when they put CG animation in places that good old stunt men would of been MUCH more realistic.
I guess it just won’t go on my favorite list, Yoda still kicked ass though, and I was extremely happy to see that Jar Jar did not speak even once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In other news apparently the (warning the following material may contain graphic language) god damn stupid fucking biatch that was supposed to have powder coated my wheels 2 weeks ago, and who has tons of work she needs to do at Paul’s shop decided to come in, do a few things and leave at noon, and not come back. That cock gobbling footsy fucking mother fucker better do it this next week or I am going to track her down and rage all over lazy ass.
Downloading Star Wars

Not that I would ever do such a thing, but I do find it interesting to note that before the movie was even playing in theaters you could download it from here:
Star Wars EP III production copy ISO DVD
That is the good torrent news. The bad news is that even more websites that host new releases of torrents have dissapeared. I no longer have a consistent source for finding tv shows, I am using a different source everyday, and instead of waiting 2 hours after the show, i need to wait till the next day and use iso hunt.
What’s wrong with downloading tv shows right after they air????? You can record them with vcr’s. If it’s just that you are pissed that there are no commercials when you get them off the web, then why are Tivo’s legal?
Quite honestly I am more than a little annoyed, that sites like btefnet.com that offered a nice service for no profit what so ever can get yanked off under the gause of bullshit © issues.
So much for favorite pants.

I had decided to stay over in Fort Atkinson anyways last night. So I stayed on their couch. I do this a lot, they are family as far as I am concerned.
Of course what I did not plan on was the fact that I was dressed up for the reception and did not have any other clothes, and I was wearing the “fancy” underwear, normally I wear boxers, but when I am in really nice clothes I go for the nice underwear to. Not sure what you call em, I think jockeys.
Ok so you are asking yourself why I would spend time explaining that. Elementary my dear Watson. That would be the reason I decided to sleep with my nice pants on, hell they are comfortable dress pants anyways.
So I have just been up for a few minutes when I lay back down on the couch and tear a big hole in my crotch, well actually the rip was in my pants, but now you understand the location. I loved these pants, but they were unfixable. I had other business around town so I borrowed a pair of Josh’s pants and went to Shopko. However the pants I took didn’t really fit me, they were very tight. If they were tight on me, I’m sure they were just as uncomfortable on Josh.
I find a couple pairs of pants that were nice enough at Shopko and dash back to Nelson’s to take a shower and put them on. Not that I was dying to wear them, but I definitely didn’t want to be wearing tight pants all day, and this way I could quickly return Josh’s uncomfortable pants to him.
After that I went to one of my Grandmothers. She is getting senile. You can tell her something and she instantly has her own take on it which has nothing to do with reality. Basically whatever you say or do with her these days is loose-loose. However she had it stuck in her mind that I was upset with her for the last time I visited apparently I left without giving her a hug.
It seriously didn’t even cross my mind, until she sent me a letter the next day asking what she did to offend me so much that I wouldn’t even give her a hug. That letter actually did annoy me a bit, as It was such a stupid waste of time to have written, and she was only giving herself stupid reasons to be upset and worried. Hopefully this visit assured her that nothing was wrong.
Went home to finish reinstalling everything on my computer.
